Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime (first made in India phone) launched at Rs 6,999
It is up for grabs in white and Dark grey colours on Mi store and also via the company’s partner sites.
So, what’s new in the enhanced Redmi 2? The new variant of Xiaomi’s low-end smartphone will now come with 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage, which is twice of what we have seen in the original device. The rest of the hardware remians the same.
The device supports 4G and comes with an 8MP f/2.2 rear snapper. Sporting a 4.7-inch IPS HD display, the device comes powered by Snapdragon 410 64-bit.
The company has also announced a contest and the winner could take home the Redmi 2 for free. “Tell us in the comments below why you think the Redmi 2 Prime is awesome, and one lucky winner will walk away with one! Contest ends 12th August 12pm,” the Facebook page reads.
